All this talk about recycled animals made me think of something my mom got to do.
A few weekends ago, my mom went to this place called Wild Heart Ranch. They rescue and rehabilitate wild animals. Well wouldn't you know it...one of the rescued animals was this adorable little pug named Winston.
Winston, who is a recycled pug himself, gets to hang out with all of these awesome rescued or in the process of being rehabilitated wild animals!
Well, maybe not all of them, maybe just the ones who can't eat him, like this deer. He gets to help out with the baby animals that come there, too. There was a fence that separated him from the area that the big guys were in, like this bobcat. (who has to be in rescue because he was illegally declawed.)
And this Mountain lion. This mountain lion's name is Kiara and she had a very sad life before she came to the ranch, but thanks to people like Annette, she can be happy again.
This horse's name is Trooper. He had a sad life, too, until he came to the ranch. He made a miraculous recovery from animal abuse.
There are less sad stories at the ranch too. My mom has to move on to those because her eyes are starting to leak. One of the coolest things they do at the ranch is rehabilitate injured or orphaned animals. Here's uncle Nick with a deer.
Here is a picture that my mom really likes.
there are some owls here that are on the mend.
They also have a nursury there for all the baby animals that come to the ranch,
Like this baby coyote.
And these baby racoons...
And even these baby skunks! Hopefully they'll all be returned back to the wild.
The folks at wild heart ranch might also be getting their own reality show on animal planet! If they do it would be a really great thing because then they'll have more money to save even more animals!
Winston has the coolest job ever!
