naughty naughty pug! Help!
Arlo's mom here...I need some advice. Do any of your pugs like to run away? I see all of these wonderful pictures of all of your adorable pugs playing and having fun off-leash! How can I get Arlo to do that? How do I get him to stay close to the house? How do I get him to come when called? Will he settle down when he gets older? Am I just being a worry pants? Any and all advice will be appreciated!

one week
Well friends...It's been one week since the ole snippity-snip. And I'm glad to report that everything is pretty much back to normal. (Mom's note: Normal execpt it DID fix his "Loving" problem, Thank God!) Stitches are all healed up and I only have the tiniest scar that my moms thinks will go away. And since I am so good at healing, I'd like to send some healing vibes to my friend Lilo. Lilo, Feel better soon!

post-op adventures...
Moms and Gran and I went on an adventure this weekend. Moms wanted to go to Eureka Springs and Gran wanted to go see some family that lives in Arkansas so we loaded up in the car and drove and drove and drove. We saw lotsa relatives and ended up only driving through Eureka Springs but we did stop at a pretty overlook outside of town.

thankless thursday-satellite dog edition
Today is thankless thursday because I do NOT thank my moms for what she did to me this morning!! She dropped me off at the vets and when I woke up..some of my manly areas were gone! Nada. Nothin. No more change in my coin purse!
(mom's note: I elected to have this surgery for a number of reasons...1. he had an undecended testicle, 2. I'm not going to breed him, and 3. He's getting a little too feisty...not like a fighter, but definitely a lover. Too much loving if you know what I mean. I feel violated.)
Then, she stuck this stupid satellite thing on my head! Come on moms!!! How am I supposed to read my pee mail? Oh well. Don't worry friends...they did give me some good drugs. I think I'll go take a nap.

First day jitters!!
Hi everybody! Today was my first day of doggy day care! It was soo much fun! When we got there, Moms was nervous, I could tell, so I showed her how brave and tough I was and I barked at a fire hydrant. But then, I could hear and smell the other dogs and I was ready to go have fun! I made new friends and I smelled new smells and I ran and ran and ran! Then, when Moms came to pick me up, I slept the rest of the afternoon. Hey..I may be an energetic puppy, but I'm still a PUG puppy and we pugs love our sleep.

A lil puggy wisdom.
Arlo's mom here...
I've been trying to teach Arlo his puggy manners, some tricks, how to get along in a people's world, you know...standard dog stuff; but I was thinking today about all the things he's teaching me. Here is what I've dubbed "the Arlo way of life":
1. There are no strangers, only friends you haven't met.
2. Don't judge someone by what they look like on the outside.
3. Love with reckless abandon.
4. When people get mad at you, just act like you have no idea what mad is.
5. Sleep as often as you can.
6. If you like something, eat it. If not spit it out.
7. Dream big dreams.
8. Live completely in the moment.
9. Take time to enjoy the simple pleasures in life.
10. Loyalty is one of life's greatest virtues.
